| castrol gtx high milage has done wonders for my car.its smoothened the ride quite nicely,so it seems to be worth the little bit more per bottle.i dont know about the haed gasket myself but ive heard its a pain and the ass and alittle on the expensive side to replace.as for the oil grade 10w-40 is what bmw will tell you but oil is enviorment specific 10w-30 works fine for me.with the heat in cali 10w-40 would work perfect.vancouver was matching LA in temp during a heat wave a few weeks ago,and 10w - 30 was just fine.but that was a heat wave not long term heat. |
