2000 528i shift
My e39 shifts fine during regular driving but when i stomp it and stay on the throttle it wont shift. It stays in that gear and bounces off the rev. limiter. Does anyone know what could cause this?
Isn't there a switch activated by the gas pedal being floored, that tells the tranny not to shift? When you "stomp" on it, if you go past the "click" in any gear, the tranny will stay in that gear, until you let off slightly.
That switch doesnt tell it to stay in gear. Its for passing people on the Autobahn. The switch just dumps fuel into the engine for more power. It will still shift though.
