6.5" or 6"x9" speakers in the kick panels

Have anyone successfully installed a pair of larger speaker than the original (5.25") in the kick panel. It would be nice to have larger speakers with a better bass kick. I'm planning to buy either 6.5" or 6"x9" speakers instead. Rather 6"x9" speakers since they usually more powerful.

I dont know how different the touring is than the sedan, but in the sedan with some minor mods to the kick panel cover, a 6.5" fits beautifuly.

The kick panels are the same on the touring and sedan models. So 6.5" should fit nicely with some carving in the panels but with the new grating on the outside so that the hole doesn't show. Thanks.

yeah, they fit inside of the enclosure perfecty.
