545i newbie questions - BMW Forum

hello all! I should be taking posession of a 2005 545i within the next few weeks. Found her via swapalease and couldn't have asked for a better car and deal. The car is orient blue with the beige interior and is gorgeous.. as soon as I get her, will definitely post pics.

In any event, just wanted to ask what everyone loves about their 5 series, preferably the 545... what everyone dislikes and what you wish you didn't have to deal with?

I did a lot of searching on this and other boards but haven't seen any pros or cons listing of the car.

I love the Bimmer so it's no question why I'm getting it, just curious to see what everyone thinks....

So I've learned that most E60 owners don't post about their cars or most people don't like the E60's... I guess that's why I'm not getting any responses...

Kinda stinks since I love forums and really use them as a huge resource...

Oh well.. if there's anyone out there who has an E60 and would care to share, I'd appreciate it.

You caught on quick. It's unfortunate that e60 owners aren't very active on internet forums. Many BMW "enthusiasts" have been turned away by the stylign of the e60. I think they look great. My favorite thing about the e60's is the interior and the electronics, including iDrive.

Is your 5 an automatic?

In any event, the car is automatic. Was trying to hold out for the manual but this was a great deal... Can't wait to have it.

wow... those things are beautiful.... ive always been a fan of the new bimmers even when people shoot them down... also the i drive i like... everyone is soo picky about stuff that they dont want to take time a learn about new technology... but IMO its all great inovation... beautiful car though... and

Beatiful ride, man. Sorry about not being very helpful, but I don't know much about the E60's. Glad to see you got the Sport Package.
