My 540iA is coming to the end of the three year lease, the question is; should I buy it or
am I buying high maintence costs. Problem free so far but I have heard that the upkeep
is very expensive in year 5 on. What are the major issues/problems I can expect?
I love the car but, I want to drive for fun not only to the dealer for repairs. Comments please.
Your car will drive alot further yet with probably no trouble.My 96 540i has 273,000kms on,and heads never been off.Be generous with transmission service...the steptronic gearboxs MUST be looked after.
