The A/M switch on the center console of my '94 540i automatic is a little odd. It doesn't have an A and an M, it has an A and a little snowflake. This is my first BMW, so I'm wondering if anyone out there knows the purpose of that, or is it just the same as a standard A/M switch. Also, I'm havin' a heck of time finding the basic performance parts for this car (chips, cold air intakes, so on...), and I need a sorce for new wood trim pieces. Any help would be great
Well, I'm not sure. But a guess I can offer is that the auto to snowflake selector might be a normal auto to traction control shift modes for slippery conditions.
I know I took this car up to mountains, and on a muddy road it was all over the place, I hit that switch and straightened right out, but like I said, the car doesn't have traction control
