Hi all,
BMW virgin here, i have a limited edition bmw 535i sport steptronic which i absolutely love but has developed a possible fault in the gearbox? the reason i say this is when you have the car in normal auto mode and drive along it hunts around badly as though its trying to decide what gear to go in, when you put your foot down it changes smoothly through the box, when you put it in sport or manual mode it is near on non existent doesnt hunt around anywhere near as bad? It kicks down perfectly, changes up and down perfectly and doesnt hunt around in the higher rev range and is really weird. its starting to get so annoying that i will stop driving it and will sell it as it is at a cut price, i have taken it to many garages and gearbox specialist but does not show any fault on the fault code reader? Could it be low on oil maybe? I really am at a loss so any help would be great i have heard this site is the best so hope someone can work there magic or just buy the thing
Thanks all in advance
I wouldnt have thought its the oil level, more like one of he solonoids want cleaning in the box, or its time for a service. recommended service 80,000 miles and every 30,000 thereafter.
