530i : idle control valve stuck mechanically

The Fault code 20 reads: Idle Control Valve stuck mechanically.

Any suggestion to repair this ?

change ICV is the only solution...

Thank You.
My car is only 80k , hence I tried cleaning it with WD40 & Q tips; dried it for 30 mins . Now the problem seems resolved.

normally you can just remove valve clean it i recommend acarb cleaner wynns or similar carbon tetrochloride based cleaner i.e electrical contact cleaner then lubricate lightly with brake fluid i do not reccomend wd 40 as leaves a residue which can cause further problems this problem with i.c.vs is quite commom and not just bmws see bimmerforums.com excellent article on cleaning with all photos to help you,regards david u.k member e39 523i.
