530 Vs. X5

Hello all. I am new to the forum so I hope I am posting in the right space. Anyway I am trying to decide which car to get for my wife. Her lease just expired on her x5 and she was thinking of trying a sedan even though she loved the x5. How would you compare the 2? Maybe I should mention that we have 2 kids also. Any thoughts on the matter would be greatly apreciated!! Thanks.

I have a 2004 545, and like you have two small kids. Really depends on the kids age and whether your would have to do any carpooling. My 545 easily fits the two Britax cars seats in the back seat, and when it is adults only, I can fit both in the trunk (as long as my golf clubs aren't back there!). As long as the kids are old enough to not need a lot of extras like strollers, etc, the 530 would be fine. Just depends on what you/she wants out of the car. I know after years of driving my Suburban around, I was ready to get back to a sedan and my wife has an Acura MDX if we ever really need the cargo space, which is rare now that the kids are older. thanks kscarrol. Ya the kids are 10 so car seats and strollers arent really a factor. My wife also feels like she is ready to get back into a sedan. She just feels safe being high up in the suv. Any other feedback appreciated! Thanks.
