Someone has been a little trigger happy on the switch !!
The little gears inside which drive the headrest support shafts up and down are out of syncro.........You'll have to take it to the dealer and get it fixed.Quite alot of fiddling around to get it out and onto the bench to fix it.
It happened on my 540. Cost me 6hours labour.
Good luck.
Hey, try pushing the button while at the same time pulling the headrest. Try it a few times but becareful by not pulling too hard.
Sometimes the gears get stuck.. I had a similar problem and solved it this way...
I am not sure if I can attach the right details, but the fix for this is reasonably straightforward if you are mechanically inclined. I am trying to attach a saved web page - if it doesn't work, contact me and I will email it to you - but it sets out the process, with pics etc, for fixing the cable that drives the headrest.
