530 front belts

Can anyone point me to a procedure for replacing front belts on my 2002 530i?

Looks like the most difficult part is getting the fan cowling off...

I did it without taking anything off. Just access everything from underneath the car, there's more room there. The big serpentine belt will actually slip over the fan for replacement.

Typically just have to loosen clamp holding the tensioners

And you should not need to mess with cowlings.
