528i...Purchasing Advice

Hello all. I just joined up today. I have the opportunity to get a '97 528i. A family member has it and wants to get rid of it. The car is a manual, with about 150k miles. The car is in very well shape on the outside, and clean as can be on the inside. The person before him threw lots of M5 goodies on it. It has rims, coilover setup, strut bars, and many other xtras.

I have no idea what I need to be looking for on this car. I have never owned a bmw, nor has anyone I know. Should the mileage be a problem. Are there any notorious bugs the 528's have? Are they fun to drive? I just want some input from other owners.

I just bought a 528i and here are a couple of things that I would look for. I would make sure the struts are good along with the tires. Other than the obvious (no check engine light or other computer check). I have had to change these things out and they are expensive, while things like the belts/oil valve cover are not too much to worry about. If you have any more questions just ask!
