Hi - I've got a 2000 528i wagon with a weird vibration that feels like rear end and only happens at 55-75mph....there's nothing at low speeds and disappears at 80. Front end is fine, new tires, etc., but original shocks at 106,000.
Doesn't feel like the vibration I had with my 1992 525v when I had to replace the shaft.
Any ideas?
new tires on Borbet 16" rims yesterday. Had to drive to MI for a funeral and the vibration was worst at 67 mph. Looked hard at the bushings, etc. when I was putting the new tires on but did not check the driveshaft.
It seems odd to only be at those high speeds
That's what I heard. I thoought i would put some new ones in and they should be an easy/cheaper replacement, at least before tearing out the exhaust and digging into the driveshaft
