525 Noice Pls Pls Help

i have a 53 525(new shape) and a really bad rattle. it appears to come from the angled upright where the door shuts. there is an airbag on this upright and the wife thinks it is coming from there. i thought it was temperature related but it comes and goes when it pleases. sometimes if i undo the window very slightly it goes. other times this has no effect. i did take it back to the dealership and they told me they put a form of soundproof tape on the upright. to some this may sound silly but when you spend £35000 on a car i would like to have the music at a reasonable level and not high to cover the rattle. any ideas pleeeeessseee

BMW lately has been having problems with weatherstripping, window seals and such causing wind noise and rattle noise. I would be a little more firm with the service writer about your concerns.
