523i major problems, HELP!

Hi all,

I bought this car last november, my first BMW.

It's a 523i se auto 2000, it's high milage 21700 but had a new engine fitted 6000 miles ago by BMW.

The main problems i've got are.

ABS/ASC lights come on after doing about 15 miles from cold, speedo also stops working.

When i turn on the side lights, at the front of the car i get one side light and one indicator!

Went to use the car yesterday morning only to find that the front passenger door will not unlock, got the wife to stick her ear on the door while i locked and unlocked and she said she could not hear a click or anything from that door.
All other locks are working ok, prob is i need to get the door card off, but the door is locked shut, any ideas would be very much appreciated.

when doing a tight turn round a bend i get a sort of clicking sound from the rear end, only does it when i'm turning and gets louder if i take a bend faster.

There you have it, i don't want to do anymore mods on the car till i get these problems sorted out.

Sidelights: if the one indicator is steady, it could be a backwards installed bulb: when flashing a signal, the lower parking/sidelight will flash.

Hi,

Sidelight don't flash when i put the flashers on, just this flasher coming on instead of the sidelight lol.
