2010 528 - Moonroof Won't Stay Closed

Anyone had the moonroof refuse to remain shut? Just as it reaches the closed position, it immediately and automatically retracts to the half-open position as if there's something obstructing it. The best I can do is to manually stop it just short of the fully closed position. I've stood outside and watched it slide; and, there's nothing obstructing it.

This vehicle is 2 weeks old. This is my 4th 5-series in a row, and I've never encountered this problem before.

Mine does the same with Full-Closure... Best thing to do first is get access to the motor and manually wind it closed !! Might be a little "Trial and error" but could solve it...
Otherwise, the GCM or CM may need a reset at the Stealers...

from what you are describing sounds like the sunroof motor needs to be reinitialized
after you fully close it push and hold the sunroof button for about 10 seconds
could be a little longer then the sunroof motor will initialize itself
if your car is still under warranty the dealership will doo it for you.
in some cases the sunroof seal needs to be replace but thats covered under warranty
