2005 BMW 545I - where is the oil filter?

I finally have gotten up the nerve to change the oil in my 545 myself in between the ludicrous 15k BMW recommendation but can not find anywhere on the web that discusses what is entailed in this DIY project. I was searching for the oil filter under the hood as was the case in older BMWs but no luck. I assume the filter is under the car somewhere and that it will involve removing some of the panels. any advice/pictures/recommendations you can give would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.

LOL.. BMW finally corrected the notorious oil housing leak during oil change syndrome on the top mounted oil housing design?
