2004 525I battery replacement

I'm planning to replace the battery in my 2004 525I because of slower and slower starting crank speeds. What is the best replacement battery? What are the reset proceedures? And where is the monster?

Most likely, it's in a compartment in the back of the trunk opposite from the driver's side. IMO, use as close as possible to the OEM type of battery. Most good auto parts stores will have a very good match.

I would think the most important one is your stereo code. AFAIK all others will really need a reset and be just fine.

Thanks its done. Used a little common sense. I hooked a battery to the jumper posts in the engine compartment. This made the car think it was still attached to the battery. I replaced the battery by only disconnecting cables at the posts. All is perfect now. No resets to deal with .

That is what I used to think but I have been led to believe that I had to register the battery at dealer to make it work properly!
