2003 530i shutting OFF HELP

Hey I own a 2003 530i (E34) sitting at light and ready to accelerate the vehicle starts to shake and act very lazy when I try to accelerate. most time it shuts off but start up immediately with same problem. after waiting about 15 minute its run great with no problem. No engine light or code comes up. I was guessing my fuel pump or my MAF. Anyone have a suggestion before I spend, spend, spend.

Not really sure that this is going to be the problem, but one item to know of the potential cause list. Try disconnecting your Air Flow Meter and see if that makes any difference to the problem. The system should continue on ok, with a acceptable drop in overall performance, and possibly an error.
