2003 525i LED display and radio display

I am looking to buy a 2003 525i sport model sedan 2.5L inline 6

It has a problem with the LED display on both the instrument panel and the radio.

I have called several places including dealer to get parts and labor price to repair this and the prices range from $700 - $2000.

Is this a repair that can be DIY and what are the parts required to fix? Are their videos to show how to do the repair?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

The most common reason for pixels failing on the cluster or radio is bad soldering that is causing a poor connection. The fix involves removing the radio and cluster and re-soldering the points of contact on the board that are affected. Fairly easy to do if your pretty good with electronics. If not, your options are find someone to repair it for you or replace both.
