2002 525i Replacement Side Mirror Cover

It's been a while since I've visited the Forum for help but I guess that's a good thing!

Unfortunately the other night, some moron just about side-swiped me slamming my driver's side mirror. All of the internals are there plus the glass, and everything still functions... but the plastic housing completely disintegrated.

So...since this was a "hit-and-run" and I'll be paying out of pocket, my quest is for a replacement housing. It appears to mount with several screws tucked in behind the mirror glass.

I'm going to check with my local BMW garage about a replacement part, but I thought perhaps someone on the Forum may have been down this road before and could give me some advice.

Ebay, should find one on there you may have to re-spray it your colour, but it will be alot lot cheaper than the dealers.
