My luck...... I pick up a 2001 530I that my wife wanted, and now a couple of months later teh plastic cracked around the upper hose.
The radiator was easy to get, but replacing it seems to be a bear.
Anyone have any instructions on how to do this?
John - I would recommend two things: first, pick up a Bentley's repair manual. Not cheap, but worth every penny. Second, join the bmwe39 Yahoo group. There is deep and plentiful advice to be had there.
I'm doing a preventive replacement on mine tomorrow @154K...also doing the thermostat, water pump and PS hoses.

I've never had so much of a problem replacing a radiator. At least it's dlone ands she's running cool again.
