One morning(0610) heading to work I was stopped at a light and I heard a sound coming from my car engine. Then I got a flickering loss of oil light. I was running the AC and the sound was like the compressor going out. That morning I changed the oil to Royal Purple and I didn't have any problems since. Then this morning I heard the sound again and and again the light for oil pressure came on. This is the first time I was using the AC since the problem I had last week. My guess is some how the AC is effecting the oil pressure or my oil pump is going out. Any help would be greatful. Mybe some one has experiance this problem with their 5 series. The car has 126,000 miles and is a 2000 540i.
