Hi,

I'm new to BMW and want to know how many mods (and which) it will take to reach 355HP?
It has to be without supercharger/turbo/compressor...

Thanks a lot for your help...

You will need to fit a set of high quality extractors with a performance exhaust system, and then get hold of DINAN for one of their chips.Thecompression ratio is allready 10:1 so you wont need to modify your heads at all.The above should gain you an extra 30-40hp.Your standard 540 will have around 290hp.
Let us know how it all unfolds for you.
Good luck.

Thanx a lot for your help, is there other things which I could do to gain more HP?

You could always take it to Active Autowerke or Dinan for one of their Turbo packages.

Check the dinan web site. There's High Flow Cold Air Intake; Free Flow Exhaust; High Flow Throttle Body; High Flow Air Mass Meter; High Flow Intake Manifold; http://dinancars.com/

Check this site: http://www.dinan540.com/index.html

or this one: http://bmw540ifun.com/index.htm

355 is a lot for a non-blown car.

My advice...for all the money you'd have to spend to get 355hp (maybe?)
Upgrade to a ///M5
