Does anybody know what the rest button does. I dont have the manual nor do i know anybody who can figure this out.

It will blow warm air into the cabin while the car is off, using the heat from the (presumably) just-driven engine to warm you up without having to actually run the car.

I don't believe it constantly blows air, it blows hot air in as your car needs it to keep it at the correct temperature.

NC540i is an unknown quantity at this point
According to the video that comes with the car, it blows warm air into the cabin for 15 minutes after you've left the car. It's supposed to be used on cool days for long trips where you've stopped (or some other break) for lunch and want a nice warm car when you get back in.
