Hello everyone, looking for some advice. I have 2 issues with my'89 (e34) 535i 4 speed auto.
1) Idling in park is normal. Idling in drive or reverse and it sounds like it is going to cut out, the rpm becomes a little erratic. But it seems that the computer catches it before the rpm dips too much, because it never stalls. It picks up and drives normally. Some people have suggested spark plugs should be the first thing I check.
2) At low speeds (15-20km/h) I have a vibrating issue coming from the back end. Once you clear 20km/h it stops and drives fine. I've been researching and and have heard some people say "driveshaft bearing" and others say "CV joint". Anyone had this problem before?
