1999 e39 HELP! no turn signals

Ok, here is the whole story. Around 2 years ago I took my car in to have the tranny worked on. The shop had it for quite some time and while they had it the keys were left in the ignition causing it to drain the battery beyond recharge. They put a new battery in and fixed the tranny, life was good. That was until I went to use the turn signals and there was no clicking sound and no signal flashing in the guage cluster. I pushed in the hazard and the same thing happened. I got outside the car and all the signals were working so it is just not showing up in the instrument cluster. I went to get in the glove box to get out my manual to trouble shoot and that is when I found the glovebox was full of water. All I can think of was @ some point the car had had the winshield replaced and it leaks. I had owned the car 4 years prior to this with no water though? Anyway, I went through the whole car and these are the issues I have found
No back up lights
No turn signals in cluster
No high beam in cluster.
Other than that this car is perfect. I have been driving it like this for going on 2 years and it's time to get it fixed! Any help would be great. Sorry for the long post.
