Guy's i used this car a month ago everything was fine till then, a week ago I tried to start the car and the battery was bad so I replaced it. Now i still can't start the car when i turn the key nothing happens like if I wasn't pressing the clutch pedal, i think the sensor on cluth pedal is not working is there anyway i can buy pass it and start the car? like maybe run a jumper directly to starter, I also noticed there was water leak under dashboard on left side. Please help me with any ideas.Thank you
TIP: if you car was running well previous to you batt replacement, I suggest you retrace what you did. maybe a missed wire at the Batt terminals?
trying to short two wires to bypass EWS will not help your case. You might have had success at activating the starter but unless the other associated circuits are equally energized, it will still not start.
In case, the clutch switch is still suspect... follow the clutch pedal upwards and you will see a switch resting on the clutch arm... pull out the terminals and jump those with a paper clip. that effectively bypasses the switch.
you know what... try and PM "johnnybayonne". request him to break out his bentley to see if he can furnish you with the step-by-step procedure for EWS diagnostics.
