Unhappy 1997 BMW 523i /e39/ air conditioner problem

Dear members,

Can you help me? My air conditioner has a weak spot because it doesn't hold the gas for long. So if you own or have owned such a model and had a similar problem, can you give me some advice on how to solve that task as it's summer now and sometimes it's too hot in the car, and I don't wish to lower my window because of the noise and dust getting into the cabin.

Thank you in advance,

With respects,
Babken

The only remedy is to find and repair the leak.

1. Can you smell an AC gas in the cabin?

2. How long the AC gas will last (in days)?

Dear Rashid,

The last time I've filled it, it lasted for about a month.
