I have a 97 528i with a few upgrades such as m5 rims and shaved rear. I am looking for an exhaust that has an aggressive tone and increases horsepower slightly. Please post ANYTHING that will fit my car. I'm not an expert in this field so please leave me a post of any advice.

From what i've heard, BMW stock exhaust systems are pretty good, and usually adding an aftermarket exhuast system actually lowers the HP's. Don't quote me it's just what i've heard throught the grapevine.

Punch a hole throught the muffler if you want a growl. LOL just kididng.

tri-flo muffler.. I have one installed in my car and like the sound of it.. Do a search under tri-flo or go to bavauto.com for additional information.

Expect to spend between $500 to $800 for brand name exhaust.
