Unhappy 1997 528I Vaccum hose replacement

What is the easiest way to get to the vacuum hose end that goes up under the intake manifold? I want to replace that art of the hose, but I can't seem to get to the end where it fits up under the manifold, even after I remove the MAP and the tubing.

Have you looked in the Bently manual? There is a copy posted on the top of this forum.
Also, check realoem.com for pictorial diagrams.

Good luck
