My Check Engine light came on and I am getting an error code saying "Catalyst below threshold Cyl # 4-6. I called the BMW dealer and got a price of $1150.00. Do I need a new converter, or can something be done with my old one. Where can I get a cheaper one that would work if have to get a new one?
I struggle to accept that price of $1150 ! try a BMW wrecker...there are quite a few if you dial up Mr.Google on your PC.
A good second hand one would be quite ok and less than half that price.
