1996 bmw 518ise e34 engine problems

hello there i have an e34 518i se 1996 model i have a problem with the engine at the moment when i turn it over it starts but seams like its misfireing and when i take my foot off the accelarator it just dies it like there a fule blokage or somthing i have used red x to clean the engine but still no joy . the car drives but it is very juddery and when i pull up at lights it cuts out . i have had fords that do this and it being the alternator but everything works on it lights sterio seats windows sunroof the lot please help me in desprate need thank you .

ok peeps i have fixed the beast found out it was the breather pipe from the fule filter to the mass air flow sensor . thank god as i thought it was going to be expencive
