1995 BMW 525i window problems

I've recently purchased a 1995 bmw 525i series. The windows gave out, and now none of them work, I can hear a "click" inside the window when I push the button but the window doesn't move at all. Any ideas? (I've tried chaning the main switch in the console area but didn't help)

most likely the window regulator. once you take it out of the door you can troubleshoot the motor to make sure it is working. If you need instructions on how to replace the window regulator let me know. 3 regulators went bad on me and I had to change all three of them. But The problem here is all 4 windows this also sounds like an electrical problem not regulators. did you check all fuses and circuit breakers in the glove and the trunk. good luck

This is gonna sound silly...but trust me. I had a E34 previously and it worked for my front passenger window every now and then when it decides to stick.

Locate roughly the whereabouts of the regulator behind the door panel.
Give it a hard punch with the soft bottom of your fist.
Sometimes it sticks, and this will kinda "release" it of that sticking point.

If it doesn't work...you know you need a new regulator! :lol:
