I have a 1995 525i with auto trans 156k. Recently started "bucking" between gears even on downshifts. This is an intermittent problem. Also I don't have any dash indicator for any gear R D 1 2 3. Any ideas on what the problems are?
I would give it a fluid and filter change asap and see if that improves it otherwise I would say it may be the output speed sensor locate inside the box or your clutches are on their way out and you require a rebuild.
But as said fluid and filter change will improve/ cure the problem.
