My transmission is starting to slip during acceleration. I have checked the fluid and it is full, is there anything else I can do short of having it rebuilt? If I do need a rebuild I will remove and replace it myself but was wondering if there are any places someone would recommend in the Atlanta Ga area that will not ask for my first born.

Try replacing the fluid first and see if that helps.

A rebuilt will be expenisve. The transmission contains more parts then any other component in the vehicle. One reason it is quite expensive is the labour to remove and reinstall the transmission. Takes a full day.
