On occasion my bmw doesn't start. For a couple weeks it would occasionally not start. When I turn the key over it doesn't turn and it doesn't make a noise then 10 to 15 minutes later it starts. Usually when its a starter it makes a clicking noise when you try to start it and mine makes nothing at all. Could this be the starter or something electrical like a ignition switch??????? Can anyone help me out with this?????
i dont see the starter being a problem by now it would had have to be changed, beacause it would have stop working, they dont always make noise when they die most of the time they dont.check for power to the starter when you turn the key check for signal to the starter when you turn the key,if they both there strter no good if not ,you got a problem you got to start tracing for power to starter relay then trace back to ecu or swith directrly i dont have a schematic but this is the idea, also check the relays firts dme ,starter make sure they turn on when turning key.
