1994 530I Rough Idle/Engine Light

Help?? Engine light came on - replaced both oxygen sensors, replaced computer, replaced MAF meter - still running rough - although when MAF meter is disconnected, check engine light is still on car idles and runs smooth. When reconnection of MAF meter car will not idle or run properly. Seems to be worse when cold. Any ideas?

Are there any cracks in the intake ducting?

No, we have not checked this thoroughly, how would we check this?

Gently pull on it maybe a very gentle twist and see if any become more visible.

We did as you suggested and checked thoroughly, no cracks are visible. We do appreciate your help. Would you have any other suggestions? One thing that we did not replace is the air intake temperature sensor - any thoughts on that?

No harm in testing it.

Tested that - it is okay. We are thinking that maybe the new MAF meter that we ordered may have a problem. We looked over it carefully and it seems one of the plug pins looks cracked. We are going to take it back and have them get us another one. Do you have any other ideas as to what we might check? P.S. Love your '89 - looks nice - love the older styles!
