1993 525i intermitten miss - mass airflow meter?

Hi all,

I am having an intermitten miss on my 1993 525i touring. The car only seems to miss under acceleration and usually when at full operating temp. Does this sound like the mass airflow meter? I just purchased the vehicle and I know that the PO changed the plugs in an attempt to get rid of the miss...unfortunately he used the bosch 2+ deals which I'm not a huge fan of, anyhow I seem to doubt that the plugs are the problem...Any Ideas?

while were at it I thought I read something about a bad 3rd brake light wiring harness or something for this car. Can anyone inlighten me?
