vudutu n00b Join Date: Apr 2009 Car: Posts: 1 Photos:	1991 525i windshield trim, does the windshield really have to come out? Has anyone replaced the plastic clips without removing the windshield? My clips are broken and the trim shot, The dealer told me he would have to R&R the windshield, with the danger of breaking the windshield in the process. I’m back to trying a DIY. I found set of clips and trim for about $220, It looks like I can remove the cracked clips if I mark the windshield and put them in myself (I am an ex Porsche mechanic) Any advice based on experience?
