Hi all,
My odometer light went out, but the odometer itself is still operational. By viewing it with direct sunlight, I can still read it, but other than that, it's dark. Can someone please advise me how I can repair this problem. Is it a simple fix or worse.... Thanks in advance.
If you have an adjustable steering column, drop it down to the lowest position, pull out the two screws on the top of the instrument panel, pull it out, disconnect it.
Find the pieces / clips that hold the back of the cluster on, remove it. pop out the bulb, pop in the new one. Assembly is the reverse.
If you DONT have an adj. steering column, you must remove the airbag and steering wheel and then do the next steps.
did it work for u, i have similar problem with my 520, when ever the car is in a cool place, i can read the odometer just fine but after a few minuet of driving or exposing the car to sunshine the odometer digits starts fading out, please help me with this if u can, any one.
that would be really wierd if it was, my odometer used to fade out every now and then and come back, but i couldnt relate it to sunshine or anything like that.
