1990 535i older radio installation

Hey guys, I am trying to upgrade my stock stereo unit. However, the wiring harnesses that all of the stereo shops carry does not even come close to the factory wiring. Perhaps I have an older model stereo unit with an amplifier? Anyways, I hope one of you has run into this problem and can help me out. The available harness from the stores has about 10 pins in a big square block adapter. The wiring on my radio have 4-5 different plugs.

You must have a 90 that was produced before 7/90.

There was no wiring harness available for those models (like mine)

Your going to have to do the wiring yourself, without a harness.

Check out that link - it should explain a bit - this isnt as big of a task as a lot of ppl think it is.
