1990 525i Mod Recommendations

Just got a 525i, was wondering if any of you "experts" can give me some recommendations on rims and body kits for my car.

rims: bbs or ac schnitzer are of course a preffered choice with many people... a member named sp0rky has rims that i dont know the name of that look very nice on his e34, so pm him for that too.

as for body kit i dont think it's worth it... erebuni.com has one as far as i know but it costs about 800 + shipping + painting + installation.....

btw. most people lower their car (springs and shocks) which should cost around 600-800 in parts from bavauto.com and then buy rims, and call it a day.

SUP!! welcome to the 1990 525I club. I just bought one too. Must be a popular car. Heres my plan. Drive this piece of shit with putting as little money as possible in it untill I graduate from school and then start a career and buy an m3.


BTW: no offense to your car, i know torques is actually really nice but mine is really a piece of shit. 240K miles with transmission making funny sounds and such...

on the outside it keeps becoming less and less nice every time i move it out of my driveway... new dents and scratches daily.

mechanically it is great... which is all i am starting to care for as far as it goes.

thanks for comments guys...yah i'm planning to keep this baby for another 2-3 years until i get my 03 or 02 540i six speed. Thats my real dream car.
