Hi there. Im new to the forums but if anyone can help me it'll be here. The car started fine but as I went along the road the engine started to struggle and the revs would not go above 2000rpm. I pulled over and tried to warm the engine up a little by revving a little but it was still struggling, as though the engine was cold or wet or something. forgive my technical ignorance!
After about 5 mins it started acting normally and I continued without any more problems. Its quite worrying though, I have no breakdown protection at the moment! Any ideas gentlemen?
Not too long ago I posted a similar problem with my car... only that mine like drops to like 1k rpm and then skyrockets to whatever it was... only happens like once in a while when i first start it. Another member said he's 90 525 does it as well... might be something our cars just do.
Oh, don't rev your engine higher than 3k when it's not at the operating temperature (gauge vertical in the middle)... it wears the engine down a lot faster than it would if you don't do it. If you just keep going or let it idle for that matter it will warm up.
Think of it is someone waking you up at 3 in the morrning and then making you run 10 mph right away.
