I just replaced my 1998 bmw 528 with this 2001 530i sport package , well my cruise control is dead , nothing happens when i try to turn it on . no light comes on ... nothing . Any ideas what should i check and where ? . Thank you very much .
oh btw
mass air flow sensor is bad .
3rd stop light is bad .
i don't know if those have anything to do with cruise control , stop light bulbs were dying all the time on my 528 but cruise was still working

Hi, did you solve the problem? I have an 01 530i with the same problem and no one seems to know what to do. The dealer scoped it and said replace the MAF and that did not solve the problem.

Yes it was the brake switch , i did not even replaced it , i just pulled it out and the plug it back in and it works since then , this hapend 1 year ago and it still works fine . ( the brake lights were working fine before i removed it !!! )
Try and do that and if it's still not working just buy a new one , i don't think they are expansive ( ebay )
