| Will 93 740il lock motor with low oil?
My wife was driving home and said the car just stalled out like it was out of gas. I noticed the red oil light was on (as well as "low oil" in the message board...aagghhhh!) and put in 3 quarts to bring it to level. The car turns over but will not start. It sounds as if it isn't getting any fuel. I suspect the fuel pump may have gone but I recall hearing that if the oil gets too low the car will shut itself down.
All lights are still on after topping off. Thank you for any input. |
