Whinny Belts?

is every one elses belts in there enigine as whinny as mine... how can i get them to quiet down?

Change them ASAP. If they are rather new, then check that your belt tensioner is functionl. The belt tensioner on my car is 11 years old and has seen over 200,000 miles, so these things work fine for a long while. My guess is that your belts need to be changed. Check the belts for damage or decay. YOu don't one of those snapping when you are a ways away from home :-/

Is the whine permanent? DOes it only come with cold temperature? Hot temperature?

bimmerfreak87 is it a squealing or metallic whining sound?
squealing = belt or tensioner
metallic = one of the pulleys (bearings)

but even if it's a new belt, if the tensioner is allowing it to slip, it can glaze the inner surface of the belt, so you still have to inspect it for premature wear.
