Vehicles outside of the 2000 year mark DO NOT have a 20 pin connector under the hood, the SIA reset is done via the instrument cluster or the BMW GT1 machine. try this, press and hold the left button (I may be wrong and it might be the right button) on the instrument cluster, turn key on while holding this button hold until the Service Indicator flashes release button and press again this will reset the SIL.
