Anywhere back to the topic,
I follow the BMW dealer maintenance procedures. All have been change on January 2006. I have the downloaded Bentley manual. I’ll read it later. The noise is gone after driving for a long distance and stops at idle.
The noise it not that loud unless someone nil down and hear the engine.
I am sorry. I still don't have any better help. I checked the Bentley manual, but didn;t find anythihgn too useful.

Hey, I didn't say that the b-pillar cover was cheap. I just wanted everyone to know that you weren't taking apart your frame and replacing the actual steel pice that is the b-pillar. US$100 -- ouch!
