Now, regarding the VAnos noise: have you kept up with the regular maintenance? Oil changes, filters, etc.? Whe I bought my car, the salesman told me that most of the time, the vanos would get noisy when something simple like that was long overdue. SOrry I can't be of more help. I will do a little research. Do you have the Bentley manual?

Plastic B pillar costs me $160 = roughly $100US is cheap for you huh? Damn you rich people.

Anywhere back to the topic,
I follow the BMW dealer maintenance procedures. All have been change on January 2006. I have the downloaded Bentley manual. I’ll read it later. The noise is gone after driving for a long distance and stops at idle.
The noise it not that loud unless someone nil down and hear the engine.
